Housing, Development, and Universal Design Consulting
The staffs of Future Age Consulting Inc. bring an unusually acute expertise to helping homebuilders, developers, and other real estate professionals meet the current and future wants and needs of older American homebuyers and community residents. Our company has been conducting sociological research on the housing and living arrangement preferences of baby boomers and older persons, on master-planned community development, and on universal design, for well over a decade. Our creative teams of diverse professionals span the disciplines of anthropology, sociology, psychology, traditional marketing, building construction/general contracting, real estate sales, real estate development, interior design, universal design, and gerontology, providing our clients with a comprehensive array of services to fit almost every need imaginable.
Design for Life™ Universal design consulting
The Design for Life™ program begins at the intersections of products, services, design, and the built environment. Following universal design principles that persons of all ages and abilities have the opportunity to inclusively participate in the physical construction of our society, the program advocates for equal economic and social access to both private and public space.
We work to educate and advise consumers, businesses, developers, and planners though speaking engagements, seminars, and consulting. Our consultants are available in varying capacities from advisory to hands-on. We work with homebuilders, developers, and local governments to develop strategies and solutions incorporating true universal design principles into the residential, commercial, and public built environments. Such people-positive planning offers continued independence of activity for current and future generations.
Following our win-win philosophy, the Design for Life™ program works to create a mutually-beneficial relationship between developers of the built environment and the consumers they serve. By (re)defining and (re)creating public and private infrastructures to remain human-friendly throughout the lifecourse, local governments and businesses help facilitate vital advancements in infrastructure (re)design as we age into a majority of older Americans.
Nearly half of the adult consumer base will be over 50 years of age as our country ages into the next decade. Those businesses that have proven their commitment to serve persons of all ages and abilities will enjoy a more positive image in the marketplace.
As our ElderAware™ program does for communication, our Design for Life™ program prepares your professional environment to reflect your social concern for the safety and comfort of your older clientele.
